Statewide Ballot Amendments

There are eight proposed statewide amendments that all Louisiana voters will have the opportunity to decide.

“Do you support an amendment to remove the requirement that homeowners who are permanently totally disabled must recertify their income annually to maintain their level of special assessment on their residences for property tax purposes?”

A yes vote means you are in favor of removing the requirement to recertify the income of certain disabled homeowners each year and allowing this group to retain a special level of property tax indefinitely.

A no means you support maintaining this requirement for people with total or permanent disabilities to recertify their income each year in order to maintain their status.
