Game Day Guide | Tigers and return from Oktoberfest

Leicester Tigers host Oktoberfest in Saturday’s home game against Sale Sharks. Our Matchday guide includes all the information you need to make the most of the day.

  • Oktoberfest themed food, drink and music with Tigers and STIHL
  • Entertainment on the esplanade from 12:30 p.m. before kick-off
  • The Matchday bus service operates on four routes

This game is included in all Tigers subscriptions and all areas of the stadium are open.

Matches from the 2022/23 season have been uploaded to existing subscription cards. New cards are distributed only to new subscribers and to supporters who change places or categories.

If you have any problems with your season ticket or booking a match ticket, call the ticket office before the day of the match on 0116 319 8888 (option 2).

Book now

Match tickets are still available. Book online or by phone on 0116 319 8888 (option 2). Or go to the box office on match day. Please allow time to find your turnstile and position yourself in the stadium before kick-off.

Entrance to the stadium

Allow plenty of time to get to the match and check your ticket to locate the correct turnstile before attempting to enter the stadium. Bring your subscription card, your match ticket, your ticket to print or your ticket on your smartphone to access the stadium as easily as possible.

The club encourages fans not to bring bags into the stadium to minimize delays and contact due to turnstile searches.

Follow the signage and instructions from the stewards in the areas closest to the teams at the Breedon Stand and help us protect the well-being of players, officials and supporters by reducing congestion in the tunnel area before and after the match.

Before kick-off

The plaza area between Mattioli Woods Welford Road and the Brooklyn Hotel is now open as a game day fanzone with activities and entertainment starting at 12:30 p.m. this Saturday.

There are inflatables for the young supporters, as well as a marquee and additional seats.

Oktoberfest with STIHL

Themed food and drink will be available in the square, with live music from the band oopmah starting at 1:00 p.m. as well as at half-time and after the match.

The Beehive Money Stand main club shop is open all day. The second store in the North Stand is also open on match days and there are Matchday Essentials stalls around the stadium.

Subscription holders get a discount on in-store purchases. Supporters can use any credit on their Tigers account to make in-store purchases.

Travel and parking

Tigers matchday bus services operate on routes from Loughborough, Market Bosworth, Market Harborough and Oakham.

Seats must be reserved before the day of the match. Click on here for more details.

Opening time

The stadium turnstiles are open from 1:15 p.m. in the Yodel stand (North) and 1:30 p.m. in the other areas.

Make payments

The stadium handles cashless payments only, including shops, bars, kiosks and programming booths.

Bars and kiosks

The final whistle in the North Stand is open for early arrivals. The bar on the square is also a good meeting place for friends before the match.

All other kiosks and bars open with turnstiles from 1.15pm/1.30pm as above.

The stadium bars use recycled and recyclable plastic cups. There is no deposit paid or collected for cups, which will hopefully speed up service at checkouts.

To help keep a stadium clean and increase our recycling, Levy Caterers have generously agreed to donate 10 pence to the Leicester Tigers Foundation for each used plastic cup placed in the MIXED RECYCLING bins around the stadium. This will raise a significant amount more than the previous arrangement, as the Foundation will receive 10 pence for EVERY CUP YOU USE AND RECYCLE.

The Brooklyn Hotel next to the stadium is now open for accommodation, food and beverage or just to enjoy on game days or any other day. Supporters get a 10% discount on all room and suite bookings, and there are further food and drink discounts when guests stay. To take advantage of this offer, send your request directly to [email protected] and the staff will create the reservation and answer any questions.

Well-being and safety

Please continue to pay close attention to hygiene and disinfection. If a ball is kicked to you during the warm-up or during play, do not return it directly to the players or onto the field. Instead, return to the ball boy team or a steward so they can be sanitized.

Big match accumulation

Teams from local rugby clubs join us as Guard of Honor and Flag Shaker groups in preparing for the game and welcoming the teams.

A group of supporters will be watching from The Best Seats in the House thanks to club partners Mattioli Woods, and there’s a chance to win a free pint as part of the Topps Tiles Golden Tile promotion.

Listen to a player’s pre-match playlist with club partner PRL PPS.

Kick off is at 3:00 p.m.

half time

Don’t miss The Ultimate Big Boot, sponsored by De Montfort University, which offers groups of supporters a test of skill and nerve on the pitch, and the Papa Johns Pizza Game featuring two Tigers supporters.

The young players at the Matchday Coaching Clinics, including sessions for the individual places this week, will also take to the famous grass for a photo at half-time.

Voting to find the fan favorite opens on the club app and the winner will be announced at the end of the game.

post game

Supporters must remain off the pitch at all times.

The final whistle in the North Stand and the Droglites Bar in the Mattioli Woods Stand remain open after the game has ended.
