Motor City Comic Con, Michigan’s longest running and largest comic book and pop culture event since 1989, will host a variety of attractions, events, exhibits and guests at this year’s convention. , May 13-15, at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.
This year’s lineup will also feature actors from across TV, film and the streaming industry, as well as the industry’s most creative artists, writers and comic book creators.
Throughout the weekend, celebrities and comedic guests participate in autograph and photo ops
with participants, for an additional fee, which can be purchased on the website. In addition, participants can attend
various panel discussions, attractions, events and explore various exhibiting vendors throughout.

This year’s con will be bigger than ever! Highlights for 2022 include:
The Christopher Reeve Legacy Reunion – 3 day celebration with ALL 4 SUPERMAN stars
movies!
Such a massive reunion is the first of its kind and will feature stars from all 4 Superman movies as well as
writer and artist of the Superman ’78 DC Comic series. 35 years after his last flight in Superman IV,
the love and admiration for Christopher Reeve both on screen and in life is stronger and more inspiring
than ever. Additionally, an exclusive limited-edition cover variant of Superman ’78 will be available only on
the Motor City Comic Con, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Christopher and Dana Reeve
Foundation. It was an inspiration to create this legacy reunion for Motor City Comic Con and The
Caped Wonder Superman Podcast, which is hosted by Detroit TV/Radio host Jay Towers and
Jim Bowers, founder of CapedWonder.com Superman Imagery.
The Christopher Reeve Legacy Reunion will feature the following Superman stars
films, Aaron Smolinski, Marc McClure, Sarah Douglas, Jack O’Halloran, Mark Pillow, Mariel
Hemingway and Damian McLawhorn, also appearing at the Legacy Reunion, from Superman 78′
DC Comic Series, writer Robert Venditti and artist Wilfredo Torres.
SUPERMAN ’78 #1 Limited Edition Variant Cover
Another first of its kind at this 2022 event will be an exclusive Limited Edition Motor City Comic Con
“Variant cover” of SUPERMAN ’78 #1. This comic will feature a unique cover that is an exclusive
to this edition, and only available at Motor City Comic Con. Part of the comic book revenue
will benefit the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, which is dedicated to healing spinal cord injuries
by funding innovative research and improving the quality of life of individuals and families affected by
paralysis.

Lexus inspired by the ETERNALS

Check out the Eternals-inspired Lexus on the show floor. This specially packaged LC 500 is based on Angelina
Jolie’s character, Thena. The wrap was inspired by Thena’s unique individual armor design, iconography,
