EASTER EGG HUNT

If you want to enjoy a traditional Easter weekend, these family egg hunts are the perfect way to give your kids a chocolate treat.

The Brogdale Easter Trail takes you through orchards.

Brogdale, Faversham

Stroll through the beautiful flowering orchards of Faversham, map and spreadsheet in hand, as you follow the Easter Egg Trail. Blossoming fruit trees and sprawling gardens hold all the clues you need to win a delicious chocolate egg – and there might even be an Easter bunny hiding there too.

Doddington Place Gardens, Sittingbourne

Explore the gardens in search of Cotton Tail’s friends who were spotted jumping in the flowerbeds near Sittingbourne at Easter. Once you’ve found them – and your eggs – you can enjoy a host of family-friendly activities, shop at the craft stalls, and take a break with refreshments.

Great Composition Garden, Sevenoaks

Find all the bunnies, solve the anagram, and explore the 7-acre gardens to earn a delicious chocolate treat to take home. Follow your egg hunt with an afternoon of fun with Great Comp’s children’s entertainer, who will lead lots of games and craft activities.

Kent and East Sussex Railway, Tenterden

Lullingstone Castle, Dartford

Green-fingered guests will be in their element as the World Garden near Dartford is open for exploration. Find unique plants and flowers, uncover clues, answer questions and meet Easter characters this holiday to give you a surprise Easter gift.

Municipality of Rede, Strood

It’s time to get crafty with fun egg decorating sessions, just in time for Easter weekend. Your kids can create their own festive eggs, before going wild on the common in the hunt for chocolate treats. You can also meet the volunteers of the nature reserve and observe the local fauna.

The Walking Theater Company presents its fantastic outdoor show in the picturesque castle grounds near Sevenoaks this bank holiday. Follow the charming characters of White Rabbit’s Wonderland Adventure along a walking route through the gardens and lose yourself in a truly immersive live theatrical experience.

Leeds Castle, Maidstone

Step into the 1930s and celebrate the castle’s glamorous parties of yesteryear. Meet the guests and staff of heiress Lady Olive Baillie as they prepare for a weekend of music, dancing, cocktails and gossip. Penshurst Place, Tonbridge

You are cordially invited to a Royal Easter Weekend at Tonbridge. OUTSIDE AND SURROUNDINGS

Keep your kids from climbing the walls and make the most of time together in the great outdoors this spring.

Barn Farm Shop, Canterbury

First-hand foraging is a great way to fall in love with nature. Find the best produce on your doorstep with this Canterbury wildlife walk, where you can help yourself to hand-picked herbs, salad greens and edible flowers, all guided by an experienced forager.

The Hop Farm Family Park, Paddock Wood

Take a relaxing walk around one of Kent’s most beloved farmhouses at Paddock Wood. The Easter Nature Trail runs on the bank holiday weekend and gives you the chance to meet farm animals, including spring lambs and piglets, and explore the huge outdoor area. There are also plenty of activities, from mini golf to an adventure park, to keep you busy.

Follow paths, tracks and lanes through the stunning High Weald countryside on this leisurely stroll on holiday. Take in the area’s scenery, such as fields, woods and orchards, before exploring the lovely grounds of Sissinghurst Castle and enjoying a picnic lunch midway.

Chatham Dockside Shopping Center

See Chatham’s open-air mall transformed into a funfair of food and craft stalls. Whether you want to buy homemade gifts or sample local snacks, you can browse the range of stalls that line the shipyard. Don’t forget to grab some great deals at the outlets and stop by for Easter prices for the whole family.

Craft and Gift Market, Faversham

This historic market town will be teeming with some of the best makers and traders in the southeast. There will be just about everything – jewelry, artwork, vintage fashion, bath bombs, soaps, candles, household items, cakes and more – to browse and buy.
