Police ask public for help: Missing guide dog, Saint Lucia

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate guide dog Valiant, who went missing from his owner’s St Lucia address in Brisbane yesterday (November 5).

Valiant was last seen in the courtyard of the Sandford Street residence on Friday evening (4 November) and has not been seen since.

The disappearance is considered irrelevant to Valiant.

Valiant is a three-year-old black Labrador, wears a bright orange collar with guide dog identification tags and is microchipped.

He is not considered dangerous and is trained not to bark if approached.

Valiant’s owner, who is visually impaired, requires the dog to perform daily activities.

Police patrolled the St. Lucia area today and engaged with residents and members of the public to help locate Valiant.

Police are appealing to members of the public who may have seen or had CCTV of the area near Sandford Street around Friday evening to come forward.

If Valiant is seen, please contact the police immediately.
