Genshin Impact 2.6 just launched the new Vibro-Crystal Research battle event, where you have to split your characters into two teams and take down waves of mobs, as usual with a new twist: Harmonics.
How to start the event
- Go to the event menu and enable map navigation for Vibro-Crystal Research.
- Go talk to Katheryne at the Liyue Harbor Guild. The event will not trigger via another Katheryne.
- Go talk to Patrice in the abyss, his position is indicated via the navigation.

Elemental Presets (Day 1) – Better Team Composition & Vibro Crystal Harmonics
- Team 1 – Raiden Shogun, Noelle, Xingqiu, Ayaka
- Team 2 – Venti, Keqing, Barbara, Xiangling
- Harmonic linked to Q/Elemental Burst for both teams
These are the teams I used. Xiangling, Xingqiu, Raiden Shogun, and Venti are the test characters, so I used them purposely so that the team composition would be viable for as many players as possible.
General strategy and advice
As for Team 1, Ayaka wasn’t really a good choice as a DPS because I didn’t expect Ruin-types to appear until the end. The enemies were too scattered for Ayaka. So you need to replace Ayaka with a character that has better AOE like Burst. Meanwhile, Team 2 with Keqing, Venti, and Barbara performed much better. See my gameplay video below. Basically, you should spam your Qs as much as possible.
Just like all these types of Domain Battle events, powerful enemies, the Nemeses, will appear. They will have warning signs above their heads. You need to focus on defeating them to increase your score faster.
Treasurers and Fatui in the second half are all light enemies, that’s why I put Venti in there, he can suck them all in and prevent them from teleporting. Otherwise, the Electro Cicin Mage is super boring.
Diffracted Hypothesis (Day 2, April 22) – Team Comp and Vibro-Crystal Harmonics
- Team 1 – Barbara, Yun Jin, Noelle, Razor
- Team 2 – Yoimiya, Ayato, Xiangling, Xingqiu
- All harmonics related to AA/normal attack for team 1, all harmonics related to AA SPD attack for team 2
Kamisato Ayato, Razor, Yun Jin, and Yoimiya are the trial characters this time. You should definitely use Ayato with Attack SPD Harmonics, it makes his E incredibly cool as he will chain slashes really fast.
The first half has a lot of monsters and Hydro impersonations, so don’t put any Hydro character in Team 1 unless it’s Barb as a healer. I deliberately used Noelle, Barbara and Xiangling so that they were teams that any player could make. You should also have a Xingqiu if you have eliminated Hues of the Violet Forest. However, you better at least replace Noelle and Barb with some of the 5 star characters you have.
Stimulating Deduction (Day 3, April 23)
- Team 1 – Amy, Yae, Noelle, Xiangling
- Team 2 – Ei, Sara, Xingqiu, Barbara
- All E/Elemental DMG skill related harmonics for both teams
Fluid Principles (Day 4 April 24)
- Team 1 – Kokomi, Kaeya, Rosaria, Noelle
- Team 2 – Kazuha, Barbara, Xiangling, Venti
- All Hydro DMG related harmonics for Team 1, all ATK related harmonics for Team 2
Replace Venti with any other character you like. This step is quite easy as Trial Kokomi and Kazuha are very good damage dealers.
Stable response (Day 5 April 25)
- Team 1 – Ningguang, Albedo, Goro, Noelle
- Team 2 – Yoimiya, Ayato, Xiangling, Xingqiu
- All Geo DMG related harmonics for team 1, all ATK related harmonics for team 2
You should put Goro in a full Geo team to increase their damage as much as possible. I put Itto in team 2 to have a good main DPS there.
Rewards and Event Schedule
You must earn at least 500 points to get your free Primogems. Each stage has 70, for a total of 420 Primogems in the Vibro-Crystal Research event. You need at least 2000 points to earn all rewards.
We will come back with other guides for the other stages of the event. A new stage will unlock every day for a total of 5 days. The Vibro-Crystal Research event will end on May 5. I look forward to the pieces of Fontaine’s tradition that we will also learn from Patrice. What do you think of the event? Let me know in the comments!
