Your Guide to Goldrush: Neon Dreams

Fall concert season is in full swing, which means music festivals galore. As such, local electronic dance music promoter Relentless Beats is hosting its annual Goldrush festival, but in a new location and with an updated name.

This year’s version of the three-night event, which runs from Friday, October 7 through Sunday, October 9, has been renamed Goldrush: Neon Dreams and moved from its former home at Rawhide in Chandler to Phoenix Raceway in Avondale. As with previous editions of the festival, it will feature multiple stages and sets from over 50 EDM artists and DJs.

When and where will the Festival take place?

Goldrush: Neon Dreams runs Friday, October 7 through Sunday, October 9 at 7602 Jimmie Johnson Drive in Avondale. Doors open at 5 p.m. and performances will be from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

How much does it cost to attend?

Admission is available at four different price points, each with their own benefits

  • General admission ($109 to $119 daily, $259 weekend)
  • GA-Plus ($129 to $139 per day, $329 all three days) includes express entry and premium restrooms
  • VIP ($199-$209 daily, $529 weekends) includes express entry, souvenir lanyard, and access to a private observation deck and bar/lounge
  • Platinum ($429-$449 daily, $1,250 weekend) includes all of the above benefits, plus five drinks, catered dinner, goody bag, and access to a side viewing area on the main stage and the artists’ reception lounge

Are there age limits?

Yes. Goldrush: Neon Dreams is an over 18 event and you must be at least 21 years old to buy or drink alcohol.

What will the weather be ?

Temperatures will be in the 90s when the doors open before dropping to the mid 70s as the evening progresses. We suggest you bring a hoodie, light jacket, or furry raver clothes.

What’s the best way to get there?

If driving, take Interstate 10 West to Exit 131 (Avondale Boulevard), turn left at the light and go 12 miles south. Follow the posted signs directing you to the car park.

Will a shuttle service be offered at the Festival?

Yes. Relentless Beats will be offering shuttles to and from downtown Tempe to Phoenix Raceway. It’s $25 per person and buses will depart from Shady Park, 26 East University Drive, at 5 and 7 p.m. Places will be available on a first come, first served basis. Return trips from the racecourse will be available every 30 minutes from 1:30 a.m. to 3 a.m.

How much does parking cost?

It’s $25 per vehicle for premium parking in the Phoenix Raceway lot.

What’s it going to be like to walk inside?

ID is required to collect your festival wristband, which cannot be removed if you are coming for multiple days. Security will perform bag checks, pat downs and visits to each customer upon entry.

Will lockers be available?

Yes. A number of lockers will be available for three-day rental for $75 each and are located inside the festival site.

Will food and drink be available for purchase?

Yes. Several bars (including those in the VIP area) will dispense libations of beer, wine and spirits. Meanwhile, restaurants and concessions across Rawhide will offer fast casual fare including burgers, fries, sandwiches, pizza and other options.

What will the water situation look like?

Sealed bottles of H2O will be available for sale from vendors. Filling stations will be set up at several locations throughout the festival and Camelbak style water bladders and empty water bottles of a reusable or disposable nature are permitted.

What will the schedule look like?

DJs and EDM artists will perform on three themed stages located around the festival site. Relentless Beats hasn’t announced set times or stage assignments at the time of this writing, but the daily breakdown of when each artist will perform is as follows.

Will there be non-musical attractions at the Festival?

Yes. According to Relentless Beats, there will be carnival rides and other attractions located within the festival grounds. Sideshow variety performers will roam the area near The Hideout stage and various cannabis vendors and dispensaries will help put the weed in Tumbleweed Park. A Moonshiner’s Art Walk and a silent disco are also planned.

Are there afters?

Yes. They will take place every evening from 1:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. at Phoenix Raceway. Tickets are $30 per person, per group. The headliners will be AC ​​Slater on night one (ie early Saturday morning), ACRAZE on night two and Space Laces on night three.

What should I bring?

A good attitude, to begin with. Don’t forget your ID card, comfortable shoes and a fully charged mobile phone. Transparent bags measuring no more than 15 inches by 15 inches will be permitted. Lighters are acceptable, as are sealed cigarette packs. Ditto for sealed tampons, gum and lip balm. Oh, and be sure to wear a suit.

What should I not bring?

Forget to bring weapons, wallet chains, fireworks, pets, bulky or non-transparent bags, chairs or anything else that is disruptive, destructive or dangerous.
