It’s that time of year! Bring on the first Yuletide Cheer of 2022 with the Festival of Lights in Lake Jackson, Texas, taking place November 17-20!

The festivities will begin on November 17 with the Christmas Carnival. The Mayor’s tree lighting and Santa Pajama Jam will follow on November 18. November 19 will be a busy day starting with Breakfast with Santa, followed by Holidays Around the World. There will be art, food trucks and craft stalls throughout the day!

The popular children’s winter playground will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., where children can take pictures with Santa! The long-awaited Parade of Lights takes place from 7 p.m.!

Free winter playground for children of all snowy and wintry types, INCLUDING Santa’s workshop! Santa Claus will listen to all the children’s Christmas wishes and also pose for photos from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The 32nd Annual Parade of Lights

The highly anticipated 32nd Annual Parade of Lights will take place during the Festival of Lights on Saturday, November 19. The parade will begin its journey through downtown Lake Jackson at 7 a.m. Attendees can vote for their favorite float by texting the float number to 844-695-9995. There will be many community performances at the Parade of Lights!

Also, be sure to watch the ELF movie at the Civic Center Festival of Lights post-parade movie after the parade. Public participation is free at all events.

Parade Parking

Parade parking information
As of 12:01 a.m. Saturday, the median/center parking lot on Circle Way will be closed to parking. Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and refreshments to the median to watch the parade. The parking lot will be open again after the parade.

Overflow parking
Additional parking will be available at the Recreation Center. A shuttle service will run every 15 minutes and take residents to the police station where they can walk to nearby attractions. The shuttle service will operate from noon to midnight.
